About Micah

Micah Patt (she/her) is a voice teacher and theatre practitioner based in Atlanta, currently teaching applied voice at Brenau University. She recently completed a one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Voice at Western Carolina University. In addition to her academic work, Micah maintains a private voice studio and freelances as a director, music director, and intimacy coordinator in the Atlanta area.

Most recently, she intimacy coordinated for Theatre Emory's production of Peerless, directed by Wanyu Yang, and for Open Seat Productions' sitcom pilot, Sexploration. This upcoming spring, she will be directing and music directing 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Georgia Tech, as well as returning to music direct at Duluth High School for their spring musical, West Side Story

Micah is a graduate of the M.M. Voice Pedagogy program at Syracuse University and holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Western Carolina University. Her teaching philosophy centers on helping students build sustainable, versatile, and confident voices through warm, direct feedback & scaffolded technique building!

She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the National Opera Association, and the Musical Theatre Educators Alliance. When not working, you can find her in an aerial class, arts & crafting with friends, playing League of Legends (poorly), or reorganizing her furniture (again).
